TNGHT at Pohoda 2021

TNGHT at Pohoda 2021

Another reconfirmed name of Pohoda 2021 is the joint transatlantic project of Hudson Mohawke and Lunice – TNGHT. Seven years after their fantastic debut, which greatly influenced the electronics of the past decade, they’ve returned to the scene with the album TNGHT II. It’s not the kind of music suitable as background noise or music you’d hear in a café. Hud Mo and Lunice describe it as the most perfect record they’ve ever made in terms of instrumentation. The result is excellent electronics with no categories applicable. It’s a record that falls outside the market rules or the expectations of others, one the duo made on their own terms. As Hud Mo says about the album: "I think it’s a good indicator if something sounds weird and refreshing to us". → read more

Tittingur released album Epiphany

Tittingur released album Epiphany

Tittingur are releasing their third album called “Epiphany” today. They will perform it publicly in premiere at the Pohoda in the Air festival. In fact, it will be a digitally-streamed public release of the album, which is, paradoxically, their first recording on analog media. The band said that in the new album, they are moving into yet more abstract territories of the zeitgeist sound of electronic music. Ambiguous rhythms, ferocious synths, inexplicable collages, braindancing; everything more explosive, piercing and exaggerated than ever before. Broken sound dystopia and a view of the natural world in decay. The album was created mainly in Copenhagen over the past year and it will be released as the first Tittingur album on a disc under Weltschmerzen label. https://tittingur.bandcamp.com/ → read more

The winner of the 6th Pohoda Visual Art Contest is Andrej Kolenčík

The Pohoda Visual Art Contest jury decided to evaluate both the proposals for material and on-line art. The winner of the 6th edition of the contest is Andrej Kolenčík and his project “Coming Soon”. The intention of this short ecologically engaged video is to evoke in the viewer a worrying feeling about the future and to provoke a disputation about the topic with the controversial execution of the video. The fate of the twins as a symbol of the next generation will be unclear and untold. What is the future of our children in the current functioning of the world?   → read more
