The 10th edition of the Radio_Head Awards had Michal Kaščák receive the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award. It was handed by Oliver Rehák of Denník N, who also noted that he and Juraj Kušnierik had been thinking of proposing Michal for this award, but then agreed that it would be ideal after the 20th edition of Pohoda. Oliver said: “He merits the award because Pohoda would be a completely different festival unless organised from the early beginning by a musician who does care about the country he lives in.” → read more

This time, we will meet at Svätoplukovo námestie (Svätopluk Square) in Nitra and Dolná brána on Košice’s Main Street. The first winner of the 10th anniversary edition of Radio_Head Awards is Michal Kaščák. Radio_FM and Denník N (Daily N) editorial staff decided to give him the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award. The gala will be held on Thursday, March 14th, but the laureate of this award is being announced a week prior to the event. “What can I say? A week after concert in Bratislava, we will pay tribute to murdered journalist Ján Kuciak and his girlfriend, archeologist Martina Kušnírová, on Sunday evening (March 13th 2018) in Žilina and Prešov. They were born in these two regions (Ján came from Štiavnik near Žilina and Martina from Gregorovce near the metropolis of Šariš). Concert at Mariánske Square in Žilina will start at 6 PM and concert at the Main Street in Prešov an hour earlier. → read more
