More services and fun, less waste
The fantastic last yearʼs edition and the record number of nominations for the European Festival Awards have particularly highlighted Pohoda abroad. The Guardian praised it as a well-equipped venue, and The Telegraph highlighted the artistic and eco-friendly approach. Other reputable media mentioned the uncompromising line-up, top-notch services, great organization and atmosphere. Our partners have a great merit in this success, which is also demostrated by the nomination of ZSE in the Brand Activation Award category. Every year, our partners come to the airport with what they do best and, in cooperation with Pohoda, they bring the festival experience to a higher level. Also this year, they have prepared a huge amount of activities and services to make our visitors pampered. Above all the efforts of our partners this year there is responsibility towards the environment. However, managing to meet the ecological goals will ultimately depend on the approach of all visitors of Pohoda. This article will tell you what the 22nd edition of our most famous festival will have to offer in only two weeks.
20. June 2018
URPINER
Our main partner, Urpiner, will offer visitors 18 kinds of beer this year. In addition to the popular yeast lager 12° and extra-hopped 14°, it offers the new Light special lager 13° IPL (Indian pale Lager). In the Urpiner tent, visitors will also learn how to correctly brew beer, and football fans will be able to obtain a signature from the footballer of the quarter-century the seven-time footballer of the year, Marek Hamšík.
ORANGE
Perhaps no other events in Slovakia have such demanding data transfer requests like Pohoda. The ability to share the festival experience has been provided by our main partner Orange for already ten years. Every year, the carrier goes far beyond providing the 4G mobile coverage and Free wifi zones. Entertaining giga activities will bring even more experiences; sharing using the #GigaZazitky hashtag will allow visitors to compete for winnings such as Pohoda 2019 tickets. The old good classics is the great festival app, as well as charging services and power bank rentals. Those who have lost their mobile phone and need to get in touch with their friends can use a spare phone (in the form of the legendary Nokia 3310) at the Orange area. An emergency cellular will be available for visitors who need to make a call while their phone is still charging.
SLOVENSKÁ SPORITEĽŇA
The slogan “The cash era is over” will characterise this yearʼs edition, and for the first time, thanks to the main partner Slovenská sporiteľňa, most of the stands will be equipped with cashless payment terminals. Now that we are mentioning running: the more active visitors can participate in a Cool run on Saturday morning. The bankʼs standard offer is a chillout zone and a much attended attraction—a hot air balloon. We are very pleased that our partners make part of our green approach in an original way. The novelty of SLSP is the Reinvent Zone where old used things will start a new life. You will find here a kayak swing, an old skier roof, a 360° ping pong, unusual table skittles, and a quite inventive use of the Trabant care or a ski cabin.
