Jana Kirschner Komorne at Pohoda 2018

Jana Kirschner Komorne at Pohoda 2018

At Pohoda 2018, you will get to see a selection of Jana Kirschner’s work spanning two decades in beautiful string arrangements by Spectrum Quartett led by Ján Kružliak. This exceptional project of the most successful Slovak singer was performed last week in Nová Cvernovka and this is how Hudba.sk portal captured it: “The result is a very playful and organic project with no space for boredom. Great examples would be songs such as “Divná,” “Sama” or “Na čiernom koni” which, despite having a more modest lineup, in no way lack the energy.” The concert will feature popular songs, new tracks as well as material from albumsKrajina Rovina or project Moruša. Please note that Jana Kirschner will also perform tomorrow at “Concert for Martina and Ján” in Gregorovce. → read more

To work on the bike

To work on the bike

For the Pohoda team, bicycles are an integral part of their work at the airport and, for some, also a lifestyle thing and a manifest of the respect for the environment. That is why members of the team joined the “To work on the bike” initiative again this year. A new bike was waiting in the morning for our Katka, who also celebrates her birthday today; we have already managed to sign her up with our team. You too can join at this link: www.dopracenabicykli.eu/registracia-timu. → read more

Eurosonic from the artists point of view

You can sign up online using the form at https://esns.nl/play-at-esns by 1st September, 2018. The musicians from Slovakia and the Czech Republic have a very good chance, as the next edition of the festival will focus on these countries. It’s also thanks to Eurosonic that the names such as Aurora, Dua Lipa, Hozier, Mø, My Baby, Royal Blood, and Vök caught everyone’s attention. Every year, we discover new talent for Pohoda as well. This year, the following artists are coming to our fest: Jade Bird, Housewives, Schellertollermeier and Reykjavíkurdætur. In a nutshell: it is a great event for artistsʼ presentation and discovering new music. See the atmosphere of the festival from an artistʼs point of view in a short DIY video from this yearʼs trip of the band Tolstoys... → read more

Eurosonic launched artist registration

Eurosonic launched artist registration

Europeʼs largest showcase festival Eurosonic launched artist registration on its website (https://esns.nl/play-at-esns). The next edition of ESNS will be focused on artists from Slovakia and the Czech Republic, with eight bands from both countries being given the opportunity. Our artists can get to play the festival also thanks to RTVS (Slovak Radio and Television), which, as a member of European Broadcasting Union, can recommend one name. The great news for our artists is also a great honor for Pohoda, which was picked by the representatives as a partner for the focus on music from Slovakia. The advisory board includes Michal Kaščák representing Slovakia and Márton Náray (CEO at Sound Czech / Czech Music Office) representing Czechia. You can find more information on the focus on music from Slovakia and the Czech Republic on the Eurosonic website as well as in this article: www.pohodafestival.sk/en/news/eurosonic-2019-focusses-on-czech-republic-and-slovakia-for-the-first-time-ever → read more
