Slet bubeníků (Gathering of Drummers)
The members of the Slet bubeníků (Gathering of Drummers) are coming from different parts of the world to the airport of Trenčín. On Saturday at 5 AM, they will welcome the sunrise by drumming, dancing rhythms, grooves, and joy of music and life. All this will take place in a unique Czech-Slovak formation completed by the Israeli singer and drummer Kamila Kama. Besides Kamila, the stage will have Pavel Fajt, Martin Valihora, Pavel Koudelka, Ephraim Goldin, Martin Kukučka, cimbalomist Petr Gablas, and keyboardist Lukáš Duchoň.
27. June 2018
Slet Bubeníků is two tones of instruments on the stage—drum sets, cymbals, ethnic drums, gongs, and percussions sometimes supplemented with harmonic or melodic instruments. Every musician brings their musical experience to the common music workshop, as well as their cultural tradition and musical education—each of them brings their own ideas. The result of this melting drumming pot is fascinating. All possible music directions, ethnic influences, and inspiration intersect. Every year, new songs are created that are then played live at concerts. The formation will charge Pohodans with their energy for the upcoming day on the first sunsets of the 22nd Pohoda.
