Pohoda 2020 will also feature Chinese-American singer and producer of electronic music ZHU. In early 2014 he released the song "Faded" which was nominated for a Grammy and was among the top 10 most sold records in several countries. His debut album Generationwhy even made it to the very top of the American dance chart. The artist himself started in anonymity and still keeps a rather low profile. According to his loved ones, he wants to get people to focus primarily on his work this way and not on his personality. In September 2018 he released his second album Ringos Desert featuring collaborations with names such as Tame Impala, TOKiMONSTA and Majid Jordan, and he presented it impressively in the desert at the Burning Man festival. Electronic music fans can also look forward to the Floating Points Live concert at Pohoda 2020. London producer Sam Shepherd (who, by the way, has a PhD in neuroscience) has been recording under this stage name since 2008. Floating Points’ breakthrough album Elaenia from 2015 intertwines electronic dance music with his roots in classical music (he studied piano). According to Resident Advisor, the recording he spent five years putting together, was the best album of 2015. According to the portal, “jazz-fusion, ambient, classical, house— had merged as a masterwork” on the album. → read more

Another re-conffirmed name of the Pohoda 2021 is the American producer of experimental electronic music Yves Tumor and its band. His latest albums Heaven to a Tortured Mind and Safe in the Hands have reached several selections of the best albums of the year. As xlr8r wrote:: “Yves Tumor set the benchmark extremely high for experimental music. It was difficult to place him into any genre; shoegaze, trip-hop, noise, alt-rock, and pop all come to mind. Pohoda 2020 will welcome Wolf Alice, another Mercury prize winner. Guardian described their refreshing indie-rock as an innovative contemporary approach to the genres of the 1990s such as grunge and shoegaze. The holders of two NME Awards and the Q Award for the best live band have released two albums, and, according to the British media, they were both parts of the best that came out in those years. The great debut My Love Is Cool was, in terms of awards and reviews, outperformed by album Visions of a Life, after which Rhian Daly of NME called them 100% best band in Britain. → read more

When we invited the Dutch band Bazzookas to the St. Vincet de Paul night shelter last year, did not hesitate for a second. This time around they themselves even asked if we were doing a concert for the homeless people again. The attenders of the sixth edition of Doma Dobre will thus see a fantastic show by this Dutch ska-rock band once again. The night shelter will also feature Bratislava rock’n’rolll delivered by Saténové Ruky and the temperament and impulsiveness from under the Tatra Mountains presented by Lomnické Čháve. The concerts will be held in the low-threshold night shelter of St. Vincent de Paul on Sunday, 8 December, from 2 p.m. The event will also include a discussion on homelessness, an exhibition of photos, video projections and a children's play area (featuring Notový Danny and the theatre Ministerstvo nápadov). Admission to the concert is free, as in previous years. However, you can help the homeless by making a voluntary contribution.    → read more
