Another new name of Pohoda 2021 is the British punk rock band Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes. The band is known for their high-energy performances, and their victory at the Kerrang! Awards in the Spirit of Punk category just confirmed that. They have also been nominated for the Heavy Music Awards (Best UK Band) and last yearʼs Kerrang! Awards (Best British Live Act). A year ago, they released End of Suffering, which is a 40-minute rockʼnʼrollercoaster that was included in the top 5 of the British charts. The twenty-fourth edition of Pohoda is postponed by a year. Pohoda 2020 will thus not take place in its traditional form, it will be replaced by Pohoda in the Air. We will see one another at the Trenčín airport on 8 – 10 July, 2021. All tickets from this year remain valid. At the same time, we guarantee those who need it a full refund of the ticket. We will miss the amazing atmosphere of the live gathering, as well as the positive energy that remains at the airport after the festival. The first new confirmed name for Pohoda 2021 is a hip-hop trio from Phoenix, Injury Reserve. Their innovative approach has been present in their work since their first mixtapes Cooler Colors and Live from the Dentist Office. According to The Quietus, the key to their success lies in the “blistering fusion of industrial experimentation a la Death Grips”. The fusion is a result of collaboration between Parker Corey and old-school southern rapper duo Ritchie With a T and Stepa J. Groggs. → read more

I am not a supporter of the over-involvement of the state in culture. However, if the state has ever had a chance to show that it is not just an impersonal institution, it is happening now. How the state handles the current situation will directly impact how we will look at it in the long run after the coronavirus pandemic is over. At the same time, it is a chance to understand how much, despite temporary isolation, we depend on each other. We have a chance to understand how invisible relationships work in individual activities of people. In fact, the festival is a miniature of a society where people meet from cleaners, temporary workers, technicians, artists to top experts in medicine, technology, meteorology, and construction.
