Polemic feat. Dr. Ring Ding

Polemic feat. Dr. Ring Ding

Polemic played the very first Pohoda and also performed at the festival within Pohoda 97 Project last year. After the concert, the band were mainly singing Pohoda festival-goers’ praises. According to these musicians, “Slovak language is not rich enough to describe the audience: to use the word ecstasy is not enough.” We’re glad that the local ska fixture will be performing in front of the best audience now that they are celebrating 30 years on the scene. At Pohoda, they will be playing their exclusive show with the ska legend, German trombonist and producer Dr. Ring Ding and other guests. They will also be playing new material from the upcoming album. → read more

We are adding 50 parking spots to Caravan park

We are adding 50 parking spots to Caravan park

WE ARE ADDING 50 PARKING SPOTS TO CARAVAN PARK Even after Caravan Park sold out, you kept asking us about the availability of this accommodation option. Given the popular demand, our Michals rearranged the space in the surroundings of Caravan Park, which allowed us to create 50 additional spots that now go on sale. This is the maximum we can do this year due to space limitations in the Opatovce camping ground and car park area. Please note that it is not allowed to pitch tents in Caravan Park. You can buy the last free spots in the Caravan park here: www.pohodafestival.sk/en/product/parking-caravan  → read more

Akustika

Eastern Slovakia will have their reggae representative, too: a band from Prešov called Akustika. The band started in 2013 as N3O Akustika. In 2014, they released the album “Vnímaj to svetlo” that featured another band of Pohoda 2018—Medial Banana. The single “Duchovná revolúcia” received quite the attention, and other songs like “Pridaj sa k nám”, “Vnímaj to svetlo”, and “Rastaman” have tens of thousands of views on YouTube. They changed their name to Akustika in 2016; the band is currently working on a new album that they will present also to the visitors of Pohoda 2018.   → read more

Medial Banana

Medial Banana

Reggae music will be extremely strong at Pohoda 2018. In addition to the legendary Ziggy Marley and the great US reggae band SOJA, the Trenčín Airport will host also Medial Banana, a local band from Bratislava. The band already performed at Pohoda in 2015; the recording of their concert is the second most watched video ever on our YouTube channel. Their own videos have millions of views and their success lies on the bandʼs basic pillars, which are tolerance, chill, love for nature, sun, and comfort. → read more

Jana Kirschner Komorne at Pohoda 2018

Jana Kirschner Komorne at Pohoda 2018

At Pohoda 2018, you will get to see a selection of Jana Kirschner’s work spanning two decades in beautiful string arrangements by Spectrum Quartett led by Ján Kružliak. This exceptional project of the most successful Slovak singer was performed last week in Nová Cvernovka and this is how Hudba.sk portal captured it: “The result is a very playful and organic project with no space for boredom. Great examples would be songs such as “Divná,” “Sama” or “Na čiernom koni” which, despite having a more modest lineup, in no way lack the energy.” The concert will feature popular songs, new tracks as well as material from albumsKrajina Rovina or project Moruša. Please note that Jana Kirschner will also perform tomorrow at “Concert for Martina and Ján” in Gregorovce. → read more
