The Friday programme at Pohoda 2019 was opened by Ida Kelarová and the Čhavorenge ensemble in a unique collaboration with the Czech Philharmonic. Čhavorenge means "children" and that is the main focus of the project - the development of talented Roma children in the Czech and Slovak settlements is aimed this project. The project also inspired Andrea Papp, the head of the elementary school in Moldava, who is the founder of the Savorenge ensemble. Sink Ya Teeth, the Norwich post-punk band, replaced the main act Lykke Li during Pohoda on Friday 12th of July 2019. The relatively unknown band played earlier that day at the Europa stage for about 2.000 people, their biggest stage up till that moment. When afterwards Michal asked them to play the Main Stage it felt surreal to them. Nevertheless Sink Ya Teeth managed to make the full crowd dance at the Urpiner main stage. Pohoda 2019 also featured Emmanuel Jal, the former child soldier from South Sudan, together with his sister Nyaruach. Emmanuel has released five award-nominated albums, co-starred with Reese Witherspoon in the motion picture The Good Lie, performed at Live 8, Nelson Mandela’s 90th Birthday Concert and the One Concert for his Holiness the Dalai Lama. At the Doma Dobre concert, in the De Drie Gezusters club, in a school bus or on the main stage of Pohoda... Wherever the Dutch ska-rock band Bazzookas appear, they bring contagious joy of performing and incredible energy. It was no different at Pohoda 2019.
