Band Hvozd will open the Slovak Friday in Café Kušnierik. Juraj liked this band and while they were still together, he recommended the band to us. When we contacted them for the 2020 edition, we got the answer: “Well, we do not exist anymore.” In the end, we agreed on an exceptional concert... While rehearsing the old songs, however, new pieces were also created, then the concert was postponed for two years, and so there are more of those new songs—it can be said that thanks to Juraj’s long wishes, Hvozd is an active band again. → read more

The more people in a vehicle, the better for nature. That is why Slovak Lines will provide visitors to Pohoda with convenient transport up to the festival gate (Gate B) also in 2022. Buses will depart in the afternoon of Thursday, 7th July from 8 cities across Slovakia: Bratislava, Žilina, Banská Bystrica, Trnava, Nitra, Piešťany, Prievidza, and Zvolen. In the morning of Friday, 8th July, some more buses will set off from Bratislava, Trnava, and Piešťany. “Well-being European elves” are already in full swing preparing activities for the EU tents. @Representation of the European Commission in Slovakia will bring Pohoda on the EUrópa Stage and the EU Fun Zone also this year. Lay Low is the first confirmed artist from Iceland to play at the Café Kušnierik. There is a lot of symbolism in it, as Juraj Kušnierik was an avid admirer and promoter of Icelandic music and also wrote an excellent book about it, Music of the Island. Lay Low was one of his favourites; her first planned concert at Pohoda was confirmed with us in the backstage after the concert with Emiliana Torrini in Vienna already in February 2009. In the end, the performance did not take place, and we are all the more looking forward to her appearance this year. → read more

Techno punk from New York will be brought to Pohoda by the New York producer of many talents, Lousiahhh. According to DJ Mag, her debut The Practice of Freedom was one of the best albums of the past year, and NME said that it is the missing link between Nine Inch Nails and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. → read more

Nina Kohout opened the Lola Marsh tour and performed at Pohoda deň_FM and in Gregorovce at the turn of April and May, and at the beginning of July, she will give concert also at home, in Trenčín, at Pohoda 2022. Nina attends the prestigious London music school The BRIT School that helped form also Adele and Amy Winehouse. Last year she won the title the Discovery of the Year at the Radio Head Awards and at the beginning of this year she released her debut EP Pandemonium, with excellent reviews.  → read more

Slobodná Európa are releasing their new album Výberofka (The Best of) today—and the band is also in the selection of the best of our festival... :) Slobodná Európa is a punk rock legend. At present, they are clearly in the best concert shape, and more and more we hear them being likened to the Slovak Rolling Stones—of course, with a far better image... :) The members of many years, Whisky and Sveťo Korbel, were joined some time ago by Laco Lučenič who will have a personal tour at Pohoda, as on Thursday he will also play the concert “Nemoderný chalan” dedicated to Meky. The rhythm is taken care of by Tuleň and, on the base, by the former member of Davová Psychóza, Rasťo Gore. In addition to his great playing, also his movements, gestures and funny faces are worth paying attention to, as they contrast perfectly with the minimalist choreography of the “thistle on a swimsuit” of Laco Lučenič.  → read more

Camp managers in the tent camps will provide a great service again this year: there, you will be able to use glues, sealants or screw lockers provided by Slovcem to glue and repair your shoes, glasses, bicycles, tents, and anything else that may get broken. The penultimate album Chiki liki tu-a says “3 x 4 = 13”, and this band from Prešov will appear exactly the 13th time at the 24th edition of Pohoda that is celebrating its 25 years. This year, Chiki liki tu-a celebrate their 27 years of existence and at this occasion, they have prepared a re-edition of albums for fans (historically for the first time on vinyl), as well as a complete CD BOX of all recordings. In December, they released the album “Venované pamiatke budúcich zosnulých” (Dedicated to the memory of future late), which was awarded as the best album of the 2021 at Radio_Head Awards. They gave an excellent concert at the Trenčín Airport last year on the Stromoradie stage as part of Pohoda on the Ground. In March, the long-time member Ľuboslav Petruška left the band and was replaced by Stanislav Sninský aka “Raptor Koch”, with whom our friends from Chiki liki tu-a will perform also at Pohoda 2022. → read more

Regal Burger came into being at Pohoda. You never know how festival friendships play out: in 2013, some guys randomly started a conversation and after flipping a couple of burgers and making a few coffees, they decided to establish a premium street-food restaurant. Today, juicy Regal burgers are served in more than 40 spots across Slovakia and Czechia as well as in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
