Oliver Rehák about Liam Gallagher's show

Liam Gallagherʼs concert in Prague was attended also by Oliver Rehák of Denník N, who described it for us: “This ainʼt no fokin disco, we’re a rockʼnʼroll band—those were the first words to the audience and that was exactly what it was: a guitar massage topped with the familiar voice and melodies. They say that everyone should see McCartney or Rolloshow at least once in their life; similarly, you simply must see Gallagher with Wonderwall. Otherwise one canʼt understand what a good song can do with people when performed live.” You can see Liam Gallagher perform live in just 20 days at Pohoda 2019. → read more

Ještě jsme se nedohodli at Pohoda 2019

Ještě jsme se nedohodli at Pohoda 2019

At the occasion of the 30th anniversary of The Velvet Revolution, Pohoda will also see a concert by band Ještě jsme se nedohodli. Representatives of the so-called Brno new wave started out in the 1980s as a one-time thing put together just for fun, but they soon became a sensation on the alternative scene. Not only because they were ignoring bureaucratic obstacles whose purpose was for the regime to control who says what, how and to whom, but, most of all, because of their ability to make quirky music with unusual lyrics. “Nedohodli were original to such an extent that they were regarded as a deviation even in the context of the deviating world of the Czechoslovakian alternative scene. Karel David is a genius lyrics writer, Petr Liška dances and sings those lyrics fantastically. On top of that we have music, which would make some hipsters on the math-rock scene a discovery worldwide if recorded today. This is one of the perfectly hidden music gems,” says Michal Kaščák. → read more
