Adela Mede at Pohoda 2022

Adela Mede at Pohoda 2022

One of the novelties of Pohoda is the stage with zero emissions, “Žiť energiou” (Living with energy). Every day there will be three concerts, two debates, and one jam. We start announcing the artists of this stage with the Slovak-Hungarian musician Adela Mede, who is researching the relationship between voice, technology and field recordings. Her intimate ambient confessions with a spiritual aspect are accompanied by experimental electronics with a number of influences, from minimalism to folklore. → read more

Bez ladu a skladu at Pohoda 2022

Bez ladu a skladu at Pohoda 2022

The band Bez ladu a skladu stopped playing together shortly after the concert at the very first Pohoda. However, our festival later became their favourite “meeting point”, where they played on average every five years. At Pohoda 2015, they slightly intensified this modest periodicity. They performed at the Concerts for Ján and Martina, at the Concert for the Attentive, the anti-fascist event Slovenská krčma, and at last year’s Pohoda on the Ground, when the Stromoradie club picked them for the line-up. Their tour on the 35th anniversary was interrupted by the pandemic, but they for sure will appear at the 25th birthday of Pohoda, and Michal said about it: “I’m looking forward to playing together; it perhaps is the only time we don’t argue. Rišo Rybníček, who was with us at our beginnings, will play drums, so we will perform in our most classic formation. For him, it will actually be the first Pohoda as a drummer of Bez ladu a skladu. We keep our fingers crossed for him... :).” The Trenčín legend of alternative music will appear at home in less than a month.  → read more

Bert & Friends at Pohoda 2022

Bert & Friends at Pohoda 2022

Pohoda 2022 will also have Czech band Bert & Friends, whose members claim that they have returned from 2050 to save the music scene with their songs and they say about their work: “Bert & Friends is Karel Svoboda and David Lynch, alternative and pop, campfire and jazz, it is hyperbole and seriousness, the beauty and the beast.” The band is led by Albert Romanutti. Graduated composer and conductor, he is the originator of the soundtrack to the film Two Ships; for several years, he was also a member of the band Katarzie. He is responsible for the viral hit Plody Moří as well as the great live album “2050: Live at Strahov” and we are glad that they will return from future to the Trenčín Airport in just a month. → read more

Livestream from Pohoda 2022 powered by Amazon

Livestream from Pohoda 2022 powered by Amazon

For almost four days, the Trenčín Airport will become the third Amazon site, after Bratislava and Sereď. The company will be there not only because many of their employees love Pohoda, but mainly to help bring the festival to those who, unfortunately, will not be able to be there physically. And just as they deliver every day to its customers what they need, the Amazon stream will deliver the “food” for the ears (and eyes) to all fans of quality music, festival atmosphere, and Pohoda. After Pohoda in the Air, we decided to focus more also on the festival livestream. We will bring live streams of concerts from several stages and hope to stream them in the best possible quality. We will try to do this in cooperation with Amazon. → read more

Icelandic band GRÓA at Pohoda 2022

Icelandic band GRÓA at Pohoda 2022

The Icelandic band GRÓA, which offers a powerful mix of alternative post punk and improvisations, will also perform at Café Kušnierik in just a month. Their motto is energy, energy, and again energy, which is exactly what they bring to their live shows. This is confirmed by the Icelandic music critic Arnar Eggert: “With GRÓA it is clearly noticeable what is going on from the first note. Here is passion, energy, creativity, agitation, fun and joy. There is hardly a pulse measurable in you if you do not notice this after about a half flow through one of their songs.” → read more

Arny Margret at Pohoda 2022

Arny Margret at Pohoda 2022

The Icelandic Saturday at Café Kušnierik will offer also a concert by only twenty-year-old songwriter Arny Margret. A native of the picturesque Westfjords region, she released her debut EP Intertwined this February. Clash called the eponymous single breathtaking and suggestive. The Flood magazine likens Arny to Aldous Harding and José González, and writes about her EP: “It emits the kind of warmth that welcomes vulnerability, like friends around a winter fire unlocking secrets and fears never spoken before.” → read more

Polemic & Medial Banana at Pohoda 2022

Pohoda 2022 will offer also a joint show of two all-time stars of Jamaican music in Slovakia, bands Polemic and Medial Banana. So, the two most positively tuned music formations, which combined the popular genres of ska and reggae, will meet on the stage. The concert will feature two sets of drums, two keyboards, and three guitars, this all complemented by a number of vocals and wind instruments. Their successful collaboration premiered in 2019 and resulted in song Staré Časy, which appeared on the Medial Banana album called Nedotknuteľní. Their 90-minute concert with Medial Banana will close the band portion of Saturday’s programme in the dance house. → read more

A more sustainable collection in cooperation with Textil House

This year we teamed up with Textile House and created a special collection of sustainable merchandise. In their Senec sorting facility, they selected unique pieces for us, and our graphic artists used them to create a collection of more sustainable goods, which you will be able to buy at the festival. The sustainable collection will be available in two variants in a special retro edition as part of our project Nemoderný chalan / Nemoderná baba (out-of-fashion guy/gal). → read more

The Wilderness at Pohoda 2022

The Wilderness at Pohoda 2022

The Wilderness will close the Friday’s programme at Café Kušnierik. Juraj’s kind way, positive approach to the world, and his typical phrase “it’s great” are legendary. Juraj was also a “rough guy”, he liked both punk and the dirt of the underground, and any injustice could really upset him. That is why we cannot imagine a better end to the Friday’s programme on his stage than currently perhaps the best punk band, The Wilderness. The band has recorded a new album, which they stubbornly refuse to release, but they regularly play a lot of pieces from it at concerts. The band has recorded a new album, which they stubbornly refused to release, but they regularly play a lot of pieces from it at concerts. Well, rumour has it that it will finally come out, just at the time of Pohoda. → read more
