Music Saves Ukraine at Pohoda 2022

In the heart of our venue, next to Café Kušnierik, is the stand of the Music Saves Ukraine initiative. It is organised by our friends, promoters, artists, and other great people who provide immediate humanitarian aid to people in Ukraine. The initiative was founded by members of the Ukrainian Association of Music Events (UAME). In the very first days after the invasion into Ukraine, they turned one of the most popular concert spaces in Kyiv, Atlas, into a humanitarian centre. Soon another large humanitarian centre for the east of the country opened in Dnipro, as well as the Bakota Hub refugee centre near the border with Moldova. → read more

A novelty at Pohoda is our own festival magazine

These photos make us very happy. Our exclusive press partner Bittner is already printing and binding our new festival magazine. We are amazed how they manage to produce square kilometres of festival banners, various printed matter, and 35,000 quality magazines on top of it. The magazine is basically a fusion of the former newsletter and journal. We have reduced the amount of paper printed materials and given up on plastic packaging, and at the same time we are coming up with a format that we consider to be ideal, graphically exceptional, and very strong in terms of information.  → read more

Katarína Zagorski: Parsifal’s Procession / Kilometre Dance

On Saturday from 1:30pm a procession with a bride will be passing through the Pohoda Festival. If you find out why, you will save the kingdom. Based on an ancient story, Parsifal‘s Procession was created in Limerick in 2005. This year its author Katarína Zagorski will lead it through Pohoda. At 2:40pm the procession will be joined by Kilometre Dance at NAY tanečný dom, performed at Pohoda for the fourth time by Radoslav Piovarči and for the first time by Tibor Trulik. Parsifal’s Procession and Kilometre Dance are accompanied by Samuel Kmotorka and Adam Druga on the drums. → read more

Pohoda festival celebrates 25 years today

Twenty-five years ago today, Trenčín’s city stadium welcomed the very first Pohoda. In the past quarter century, what started as a small gathering of friends and alternative music fans has evolved into the best-known multi-genre festival in Slovakia and an important spot on the European festival map. Each year, Pohoda appears among the nominees for the most prestigious festival awards. The festival also has reviews of praise by renowned media such as The Independent, The Guardian, The Telegraph, DIY or Gigwise under its belt.   → read more
