VIDEO: Lola Marsh – Čerešne

The Lola Marshʼ performing of the song “Čerešne” by Milan Lasica and Jaro Filip was a very nice surprise and a cherry on the top of yesterdayʼs magical evening. The song was recommended by friend Nina Kohoutová from Trenčín, and we, too, got surprised. We had goose bumps during the rehearsal in the hotel, in the backstage, not to mention the concert itself. As Yaeli was singing, the 1,500 people in the hall were no obstacle for the song to remain intimate, and the reactions were amazing—complete silence in some places, followed by a wild applause and deep impression. It was an unforgettable experience. Thank you Lola Marsh, thank you to all who have helped us in any way, and thank you to all who attended the concert. Idiotape

Idiotape

“Imagine Cut Copy, Daft Punk, and Chromeo having a South Korean child”, is what MTW Iggy wrote about another act of Pohoda 2018, the band Idiotape. Three outstanding musicians from Seoul have successfully blended electronic music with house, Korean music, and metal. The band won the Korean Music Awardsʼ Best Dance & Electronic Album for their debut 11111101. In 2015, they co-headlined the South Korean Valley Rock Festival; besides the biggest events in Asia, they have also performed at the Glastonbury and Exit festivals, and twice at SXSW. Their powerful drums and punk riffs played on analogue synthesisers will please both the fans of dance as well as rock music. → read more

Lucidvox

Lucidvox

The Observer sings the praises of Russian band Lucidvox’s music in the review; Louder Than War names them as a “totally brilliant” band in section “Band of the Day”. According to The Quietus, “they are well on the way to being legendary.” Music and great gigs of these four energetic Moscow-based women enchanted us at last year’s Moscow Music Week where Monika discovered them. They will be playing their psychedelic rock mixed with Russian folk elements at Pohoda 2018.   → read more

Coals

Coals

Even though they are only twenty something, Polish band Coals have already played amazing live sessions for the American radio station KEXP (recorded at OFF Festival and Iceland Airwaves). Their ethereal dream pop drawing from electronic music and folk has been praised by magazines The Quietus and American Under the Radar. The up-and-coming musicians from Polish alternative scene, Coals, have been on our radar for some time now and they put on a very convincing show the last time we saw them at Eurosonic. → read more

Ross From Friends

Ross From Friends

The London producer Felix Weatherall, who’s performing with friends in group Ross From Friends, is coming to Pohoda. His lo-fi house is a mix of hip-hop samples, eurobeat of the 80s and nostalgia for the 90s sound. Ross From Friends already caught the attention of Pitchfork, Mixmag, Residentadvisor, exclaim! and Bandcamp magazine. Track “Talk to Me You’ll Understand” has more than 3 million views on YouTube, which is a pretty good result for a nonmainstream genre. Pohoda visitors will get to see the amazing live versions of band’s songs in five months. → read more

Housewives

Housewives

While listening to the bands from this year's Eurosonic offering the Housewives were massively standing out and hearing the record either something really special was to be expected or a total flop. Before their gig began we made our way through to the front of the crowd and what followed was an explosion of creativity and pure musical joy. Their appearance was something like a seanse in a music-science laboratory where four crazy scientists - each one of them searching in his own universe where the entities collide, smash, fly together for a while just to split again and create the real universe for daring space travelers. → read more

Donʼt get tricked, only buy tickets from our official vendors

Donʼt get tricked, only buy tickets from our official vendors

Donʼt risk and donʼt spend extra money on your ticket to Pohoda. The entry to the venue is guaranteed only with a ticket purchased from our official vendors. As you can see in the pictures below, if you purchase tickets through “secondary ticketing” companies (which are not sales partners of the Pohoda festival), you will pay significantly more than at www.pohodafestival.sk/sk/listky. We performed an experiment and purchased from VIAGOGO: the ticket price increased by €55.7 (i.e. 62.6%). Moreover, such tickets will be available only three days before the festival. As the festival organiser, however, we do not guarantee the delivery of the tickets purchased using this method.  → read more

Helena Hauff

Helena Hauff

She is one of the best DJs and producers of the contemporary alternative electronic scene and a passionate collector of extremely dancy, obscure vinyls. Her sound palette is genre-wide and razor-sharp, and her sets include the mixture of techno, acid, industrial, kraut electro, and EBM, her style can be also described as “retro sonic digital noir”. It is not by accident that Mixmag chose her mix as the Essential Mix of the Year 2017. Yes, Helena Hauff will perform at Pohoda 2018. → read more
