Today, we’ll be gradually releasing artists from the alternative electronic scene who’ll perform in the CCC Club. Let us start with Nídia (originally Nídia Minaj). This Cape Verde native produces polyrhythmic dance music based on Afro-Portuguese genres like kuduro, batida or tarraxinha. Her first record, Danger by Nídia Minaj, was an excellent and powerful collection of songs featuring her wild and unmistakable voice. The album ranked in many end-of-the-year best records of 2015 charts, including the TOP10 of electronic albums according to NPR, or Wire magazine's 50 best albums of 2015.  → read more

After 18 long years, the gothic-rock band The Last Days of Jesus from Bratislava will perform at Pohoda again. However, their third performance at our festival will be no commemorative concert, but a thrilling live show for spectators over 18 years. At the end of 2013, Walter Schnitzelsson released their amazing debut Fever which earned them the Newcomer of 2013 Award (Radio_Head Awards). In January 2016, they represented Slovakia at the largest showcase festival Eurosonic, and released the second album Sugar kids won’t stop screaming earlier this year. Before their autumn tour, this great home rock'n'roll band will perform in an even more consistent form with a new fourth member, "the concert guitarist", at Pohoda 2019, too. → read more

Yesterday was the premiere of the documentary “As It Was”, which follows the rise of Liam Gallagher as a solo star, and this morning he published a new song “Shockwave” that will be included in the upcoming album Why Me? Why Not. He played the song live for the first time at a concert in Londonʼs Round Chapel on Wednesday. NME described it as a continuation in the classic “vintage rock and roll” sound that also beautified his previous solo album As You Were.   → read more

Another of the names of Pohoda 2019 is the drum & bass duo The Prophecy. Ero Drummer & M. Bass combine bold bass lines, mental synths, and striking drums. They have already released their songs through well-known record labels such as Ram Records (founded by Andy C), Program Records, C4C Records, and Bad Taste Recordings. At the end of last year, they released a collaboration with B-Complex named Encapsulation, which the darkdnb.com portal called the sound wave of the future. → read more

Bus carrier Slovak Lines offers convenient transportation that will bring you up to the gate of the Pohoda Festival (Gate B). Buses will depart in the afternoon of Thursday, July 11th from 14 cities across Slovakia: in addition to Bratislava, they will run also from Žilina, Banská Bystrica, Trnava, Nitra, Piešťany, Púchov, Brezno, Prievidza, Lučenec, Zvolen, Žiar nad Hronom, Hlohovec, and Čadca. In the morning of Friday, July 12th, some more buses will set off from Bratislava, Trnava, and Piešťany. On Sunday, after the end of the festival, buses will take visitors also back home, departing directly from the main Urpiner stage at 10:30. Changing Faces attracted attention already in 2016 at the Prague drum & bass Beats Evolution Conference. He performed at Pohoda a year later, and in 2018, he brought home a statue from the Radio_Head Awards for the Discovery of the Year. His timeless melodies, shiny drums, and hot bass base have already captured record labels such as Hospital, Med School, RAM, UKF, Spearhead Records and many more. The daily SME informed that he already has more fans abroad than in Slovakia.
