The 4th edition of the Doma Dobre concert will be classical, beautiful, energy packed, and spirited! Great musicians will take care of this: the Moyzes Quartet, Sendreiovci & Kokavakere Lavutara, and Para. In co-operation with the Nota Bene magazine, we will present the book Starec a dieťa (translated as “the Old Man and the Child”) by Daniel Pastirčák. Fero Guldán will work on a painting on the spot and one of the concert visitors will take the artwork home. On Sunday, 10th of December, the low-threshold dormitory of St. Vincent de Paul will also host debates on issues related to homelessness. The entrance to the concert is, as usual, free of charge. This Friday, London Elektricity Big Band are about to release a live album from Pohoda 2017. Tony Colman writes, “It was quite possibly the best gig I’ve ever been involved in. Lola Marsh is the only foreign band to perform at Pohoda three times in a row. Each time they managed to attract huge crowds under the biggest stages. The registrations for free entry for their concert at Pohoda Deň FM were gone in bare two hundred seconds! Also the tickets for their concert in the A4 club virtually disappeared and the concert was sold out three months before the event. Similarly, their show in the Tabačka club was sold out in advance. Since their premiere at Pohoda in 2014, they have performed in Slovakia every year, and 2018 will not be an exception. In three months, on the 14th of February, we will welcome them again—this time they will appear at the Refinery Gallery in Bratislava. → read more

ABOP is an acronym for the Croatian proverb “After party is better than the party”. This prominent Croatian electronic band loves dance music, but every beat is hand-made. Instead of patterns, two drummers, precise as a watch, beat the drums sitting opposite each other. The band is further composed of a bass guitar player, sound engineer, and two keyboard players, all of whom are also known from other top Yugoslav bands.  → read more

Since November 1st, Pohoda team has become a bit bigger. Our Production Team has a new member, Gretka Pavlovová. Grétka has been organizing an amazing Festival Atmosféra (by the way, you can nominate it in the last section of EFA poll) in her home village of Hontianske Nemce for seven years. She also won our favor at Pohoda where she did a great job during her premiere working as a stage manager. A young Belgian, Suzanne Verschueren, helps us with international communication as well as other tasks. “Zuzka” worked for us as an intern and we often could not keep pace with her and give her assignments. While taking care of email communication with journalists from aboard, she completed a fork-lift operation training and also photo-documented preparation works at the airport.
