Portal Gigwise published a review of Pohoda titled “10 reasons why we fell in love with Pohoda Festival” with a subtitle “Gigwise travels to Slovakia to discover festival utopia”. Festival Flyer calls us the best festival in Central Europe and Polish journalists of RMF FM referred to us as to their social event of the year. Gazeta Wyborcza was of a similar opinion and wrote: “Festival visitors are attracted by the mythical atmosphere”. Many say that Marián Varga is “theirs”, and it is natural they say that, as he connected the worlds of pop, alternative, as well as classical music in the role of an exceptional composer and observer. We, too, think of him as of a person who belongs to Pohoda. In a certain way, he is its embodiment. He would play on all sorts of stages, starting from small stages in the literary tent, through church services on Sunday mornings, to the main stage. He would play alone, in a duet with Jozef Luptak, with the Moyzes Quartet, Nonet, Collegium Musicum, and with the whole symphonic orchestra. Many of his performances are legendary, such as Welcoming the Sun with Arvo Pärt’s Fratres. Each of his performances was a special moment. Every meeting with him was a special moment. → read more

Pohoda 2017 was the sixth stop of Vito Valentinetti’s 100 Nights of Summer Tour. And, obviously, one of his most favorite. After this year’s Pohoda, the feedback we received from artists who performed at our festival was again amazing and made us very happy. Ylvisaker brothers shared a number of posts on Instagram before as well as during the festival. Besides a thank you note, both Ylvis and Future Islands expressed their wish to come back soon on social networks.
