We have released Pohoda 2022 line-up

With a bit more than two weeks left until Trenčín’s Pohoda opens its gates again after three long years, we have revealed the festival line-up by days and stages. Pohoda will be celebrating 25 years of existence with more than 130 concerts and artists from all around the world, including stars such as Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Flume, Sigrid or The Libertines. The program features several special projects such as the celebration of Meky Žbirka’s work – Nemoderný chalan where band Midi Lidi meets Laco Lučenič as well as the concert for Milan Lasica with Bratislava Hot Serenaders and Bolo nás jedenásť. Of all countries, the list of names is, apart from Slovakia, dominated by artists from the UK (17) and the US (13).

Pohoda’s program will open and close with Ukrainian music; it includes a variety of genres from hip-hop and techno through punk and guitar music to electronic and classical music; both, up-and-coming artists as well as the legends, are going to play the festival. Pohoda’s program spans 22 stages, ranging from a classic concrete Garage representing a symbol of where new music is born to the big main stage and includes tens of extracurricular activities. “To us, the main stars are our visitors – thanks to them we have survived these past rough years and we can’t wait for them to fill the Trenčín Airport up and give a sense of meaning to our work,” says Michal Kaščák.

The festival concert slots are designed in an hour – hour fashion again this year. After each show, a short break is planned at stages that gives extra time for transfers; the neighboring stages will be alternating. This model helps visitors see more music and at the same time eliminates sound clashes between stages.

The line-up visualization also includes a well-known feature that allows you to create a list of your preferred performances. The website visitors can switch between two program versions: line-up (by stages) and timeline (by days). In the upcoming days, the additional program for literature, theater, dance, visual arts, debates or science aficionados will be presented.

Unfortunately, due to a variety of reasons, several previously announced names will not be able to perform at Pohoda 2022: Gustaf, Asmâa Hamzaoui & Bnat Timbouktou and singer-songwriter Kevin Morby.     Their slots will be replaced by Pohoda’s latest discoveries: an amazing Australian-British band Greatest Hits that has recently mesmerized Pohoda Day_FM visitors; the festival booking of artists from abroad is now completed with the addition of fresh US hip-hop scene representatives, They Hate Change.

Last 3,000 tickets and more camping space for families with children

The record accommodation and parking presale is quickly followed by the presale of full festival tickets with currently less than 3,000 pieces left for sale. As for the parking options, sector P5 is available only, but the visitors still have a chance to travel by special trains and buses (tickets are available via Shop, section “Transportation”) or can find others to share car journeys using #spolunapohodu hashtag in the “Webparty” section of the website.

With each year, the demand for accommodation in Family Park is growing. Therefore, organizers have increased its capacity and also the capacity of special Family & Silent Camp and of the Campervan Parking.  Apart from the considerably increased capacity in the Family & Silent Camp and Campervan Parking, other special camping and accommodation options are still available: Tent Inn, Black & Fresh tents and a few of returned Chill Village tents for 5 people.

Beware of ticket scams

With Pohoda around the corner, the number of ticket fraud cases where scammers are trying to sell fake tickets or of suspicious sales attempts via websites that are not listed among our official ticket sellers increases. Organizers highly recommend that those interested do not buy Pohoda tickets via secondary ticketing companies as none of those is festival’s official partner (e.g. Viagogo) or from people they do not trust 100 %. They often sell scam or stolen tickets which are blocked and you will not be able to access the festival with them. Tickets have several anti-scam protection features which are not observable to the naked eye. Ticket bar codes will be scanned at the entrance. Each bar code allows one person to enter the festival site. Scam tickets will not be accepted and the visitor bears responsibility for the damage resulting from the purchase of such tickets. The perspective of saving a small amount of money can change into loss and disappointment.

Press conference on the day marking the 25th Festival anniversary

One of Pohoda’s distinctive features is the approach of partners who contribute to the improvement of festival comfort and experience each year. At the press conference taking place on Wednesday, June 29,  at 10:30 AM at Trenčín Airport, festival organizers will be presenting the novelties the partners have in store for visitors this year. The press conference will, symbolically, take place on a day that marks the 25th anniversary of Pohoda opening the gates to its visitors for the very first time.
