Today in Kyjiv, Music Saves Ukraine received the money that was part of the Tatra banka Foundation Art Award
Michal from Pohoda is back in Ukraine, this time in three cities – Kyjiv, Kherson and Mykolaiv.
15. April 2023
Yesterday, the deadline for returning the money that was part of the Tatra banka Foundation Art Award expired, as Michal had not received an account to which he could return the money to the Foundation by that day. Thus, the promise to donate the money in full to the initiative Music Saves Ukraine can be fulfilled. Today the money was handed over directly in Kyjiv, and we believe that it is in the best possible hands.
Michal Kaščák received the Tatra banka Foundation Art Award in 2012 for the dramaturgy of our festival. He returned the award as a sign of his disapproval of the activities of the Austrian Raiffeisen bank in Russia, which is the parent company of Tatra banka. The statue of the Muse was sent to the Foundation's address, and the story came to a symbolic end with a donation of the money to the initiative Music Saves Ukraine, which helps to alleviate the consequences of Russian aggression in Ukraine.
Glory to Ukraine!
