The Mercury Prize is happening tonight

This evening, a host of talented artists from across the United Kingdom and Ireland will gather at Abbey Road Studios to discover who will take home this year's prestigious Mercury Prize for Best Album of the Year.

Among the shortlisted albums is This Could Be Texas by the British band English Teacher. The four Leeds-based indie rockers recently graced the Orange Stage at Pohoda 2024 and it was a performance to remember.

Among the twelve nominated albums is also the debut Lives Outgrown by Beth Gibbons, who, along with her band Portishead, gave one of the most memorable Pohoda performances ever back in 2011.
