The journey to discover new music in 2022 symbolically ends in Ukraine
This autumn we have made several trips across Europe, but the most important one – the one to Ukrainian cities – is happening right now. Several newly discovered artists are already in the program for 2023.

Paula from the Pohoda team visited "Iceland Airwaves" as well as the amazing festival "Le Guess Who?". Ondrej visited Amsterdam "Dance Event", Barbora went to "Womex" in Lisbon together with Michal, with whom she also attended the "International Festival Forum" in London. Jožko, Gabko, Ondrík, and Greško made a strong impression at the "PIN Conference" in Skopje, Macedonia, where they also presented the prestigious Golden Bamboo Award to the director of the Conference Login.
Login is currently travelling with Michal in Ukraine. The carefully prepared visit was organized by people from our partner festival Atlas Weekend together with the Ukrainian Association of Music Events and the Night Ambassadors organization. They have already visited Kyiv and its surroundings (Hostomel, Irpin, and Borodanka, which Banksy also visited), Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Odesa, and will now spend a few days in Lviv. This trip is not only about discovering new music, but it has many other goals, such as hosting a series of debates about music and its role in difficult times. The results of this trip will surely be strongly felt also at Pohoda. "I have not experienced anything stronger on any trip related to music. The atmosphere in Ukraine is full of determination and hope, and the people are amazing. I am grateful to be here," Michal reports from the trip.
