The famous rock band Queens of the Stone Age will perform for the first time in Slovakia at Pohoda 2024 in July

Another big international name in the Pohoda 2024 line-up is American band Queens of the Stone Age. The band boasts impressive 9 Grammy nominations – most recently winning in the categories of Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song for their album In Times New Roman... Michal Kaščák announced the new name this morning during a live broadcast of Rádio_FM.

Queens of the Stone Age was formed in 1996 when the band Kyuss, which featured lead singer Josh Homme, broke up. Since its inception, the band has featured renowned musicians such as Dave Grohl of Nirvana and the Foo Fighters, vocalist Mark Lanegan and drummer Joey Castillo.They have released 8 studio albums, which have earned them numerous nominations and wins at various prestigious award shows in categories such as Best Rock Band, Best Rock Song or Best Rock Performance. Songs such as No One Knows, Go With Flow, Little Sister and The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret” are now considered timeless classics.

QOTSA are one of our team's favourite rock bands, and I think their “No One Knows” is one of the best rock songs of all time. I can't wait to soak in the energy of their Saturday night concert on the main stage,” adds Pohoda's Michal Kaščák about the band.
