The 23rd edition of our festival was a celebration of freedom full of peace and contentment
We thank the attenders for the wonderful atmosphere and many positive reactions. The festival was a celebration of both art and freedom, which is a fundamental prerequisite for artistic creation. The importance of freedom for art as well as the contribution of art to freedom was best illustrated by the concert of the female orchestra from Afghanistan, Zohra.
15. July 2019
There were exactly 121 musical highlights. It is amazing to see how the variety of offered programme meets the diversity of taste of our attenders, who always mention different names in their enthusiastic reactions. If we were to mention at least a few of the most frequently mentioned ones, it is The Roots, Lola Marsh, Donny Benét, Lianne La Havas, Michael Kiwanuka, Skepta that all left a huge impression. The same goes for the concert Bolo nás jedenásť. Famous musicians prepared a great show of the compositional genius of Jaro Filip linked to the lyricist mastery of Milan Lasica. According to the reactions on social networks, the strongest moment was the duet of Zuzana Krónerová and Israeli singer Yael Shoshana Cohen from Lola Marsh.
One of the stars of this year – Lykke Li – did not perform due to cancelled flight. However, even this unpleasant event demonstrated what we repeat all the time – that we have the best festival-goers. The announcement was received without negative reactions and the atmosphere at the performance of the substitute band Sink Ya Teeth was amazing.
We sold over 3500 tickets for Pohoda 2020 during the festival. The online ticket presale will be launched today. Tickets for Pohoda 2020 will cost 99 € until the end of the calendar year and then 109 € until the festival (or until sell-out). The price of Junior tickets will be 89 € and Kid 39 € until the festival/sell-out. By the end of the week, our new merch should be on sale, too. Not only members of our team but also many performers of Pohoda 2019 participated in the merch photoshoot.
We consider the past edition to be the best one so far. Since today, we have been working on making the 24th edition of Pohoda steal this label and become the best. Thanks again to everyone and we are looking forward to seeing you on 9–11 July 2020 at the Trenčín Airport.
