Special Concert "Obrázky zo Slovenska" (Pictures from Slovakia) with Spectrum Quartett, NogaBand, and Ulijanky at Pohoda 2024
The special concert "Obrázky zo Slovenska" with Spectrum Quartett, NogaBand, and Ulijanky will showcase the unique blend and contrasts between traditional classical music and folk music, drawing inspiration from renowned Slovak composers such as E. Suchoň, I. Zeljenka, A. Moyzes, B. Bartók, and L. Janáček.

Leading the performance will be the string ensemble Spectrum Quartett (extended to orchestra), directed by Ján Kružliak Jr., and the award-winning string folk group NogaBand, led by Michal Noga, winner of the Radio_Head Award. They will be joined by the female vocal group Ulijanky from the Ethnology Department of the Faculty of Arts at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra.
This event promises a rich collage of string arrangements interwoven with traditional local folk styles, beautifully complemented by the powerful voices of Ulijanky.
