Shht at Pohoda on the Ground
Belgian band Shht will play their first concert, after a long break caused by the pandemic, at the Trenčín airport. Music portal Dansende Beren wrote about them: “Shht are musically strong enough to be taken seriously, yet at the same time they are absurd enough to never get too serious.” They confirmed that with their phenomenal and, at the same time, uninhibited set prepared for the Pohoda in the Air festival. In just two weeks, these sound-nauts from the sonic ship called Shht will perform space rock for the new generation at Pohoda on the Ground.

This deliciously crazy line-up from Ghent is based, as they present it, on synthetic bass lines delivered by a noise-band with chemical minds and a singer hanging from the roof mentally and physically. At the end of 2018, Shht debuted with Love Love Love. Each word “Love” in the title of the album represents a different connotation of the term—in a straightforward way, from the trivial use of the word love on social networks, through a strongly positive relationship between close ones to the most intimate version of love between lovers.
Shht have become notorious for their explosive shows in recent years. When they played before Belgian stars De Staat in Birmingham in late 2019, Louder Than War remarked that playing after such an eccentric yet artisanly perfect performance was a challenge. In March 2020, they released their second album Noneketanu, which goes from simple songs to unpredictable polka madness. India style wrote that the band manages to be completely absurd, without becoming too abstract or inaccessible. “Crazy or genious?” is a false dilemma in this case, because Shht is simply both.
Their show at Pohoda on the Ground will also happen thanks to our participation in the European Talent Exchange Program (ETEP).
