Pohoda day_FM 2023
This year again, Pohoda Festival in cooperation with Rádio_FM will bring a day of relaxation, great music and festival atmosphere to Rádio_FM's broadcast, which supports the local music scene. Pohoda Day_FM will take place throughout the day on May 12 at the studios of the Slovak Radio. Admission is free.
24. April 2023
You will have the chance to get a taste of what to expect at Pohoda in July. Pete & Bas from the UK will show what rap sounds like when performed by two seventy-year-olds. The London duo O. will be presented by the organisers as a discovery from the Eurosonic Festival. The Slovak music scene will be represented by pop singer Zea, drum-bass&pop project Meowlau X Val, underground rapper Dušan Vlk, indie rock band Krstní otcovia, DJ TRANSmisia and duo Waterbased, who recently released their debut album. Ukraine will also be represented, with DJ Lazy Jesus playing a set with his UA TRIBAL project.
"I do not know if anywhere in the world there is such a sincere connection between public media and a festival. It's great that we are connected not only by our love for music but also by the same values. This year, too, during Pohoda Day_FM, we will try to convey these values to our listeners and to all those who will visit us in the premises of the Slovak Radio," says Janka Imrichová, director of Rádio_FM, about Pohoda Day_FM.
Pohoda Day_FM will also feature literature and the legendary table football tournament where you can win tickets to Pohoda, as well as an official press conference where we will present more news from the festival.
The Pohoda shop will also be open from morning to night, offering 119 season tickets at the reduced price of €119 on this particular day only, as well as all kinds of items from the festival merchandise.
“Pohoda Day_FM is always a sign for us that the festival is approaching. It is our most important media day and we appreciate the fantastic cooperation with Rádio_FM. We have prepared a great programme, we are looking forward to our friends from the radio and especially to the visitors who always create a special atmosphere in the premises of the Slovak Radio," Michal Kaščák said about Pohoda Day_FM.
Admission to the event is free. In addition to the concerts, visitors will also be able to watch live broadcasts of Rádio_FM. The capacity of the concert studios is limited, so it is recommended to come as early as possible.

The young London duo O. consists of baritone-saxophonist Joseph Henwood and drummer Tash Keary. They have recently released their debut single "OGO". The duo began improvising at home with just an acoustic saxophone and drums before coming to the studio to further experiment with guitar pedals, amps, and studio effects, all pushing the boundaries of their two instruments. They started creating during the pandemic lockdown and it only took one live performance for them to be invited by black midi to open for them on their tour.

The prince of Prešov and author of an alternative rap sound that can hardly be pigeonholed. Phonk, LO-FI or trap influenced by a pinch of punk atmosphere is the basis of Dušan's debut album ASTHMABOY, which was released in December 2021 and is still the essence of his concerts. Since August 2022, these wild sets have been complemented by the new EP KORPORÁT, which follows a similar sound.
In February 2023 he released EP ANTIKAPITALISTICKÝ MERCEDES.
Krstní otcovia (SK)

Krstní otcovia is the young, five-member band from Bratislava. At first sight a typical indie rock band, they keep surprising in their sets with excursions into deconstructive progressive rock, similar to bands such as Black Midi or Black Country, New Road, and transitions from rehearsed songs to spontaneous improvisations. The band is currently one of the most interesting things to come out of the Slovak music scene lately. This is also proven by the nomination for the Radio_Head Awards in the category Discovery of the Year.
TRANSmisia (SK)

Bratislava-based DJ TRANSmisia is a blend of electronic post-club music influenced by queer sounds, Soundcloud remixes and deconstructive sets. Influenced by underground and hyperpop artists like SOPHIE, Arca or Laura Les, she combines rhythmic melodies and ridiculous sounds. In the local scene, she has already performed at FUGE, WAXE, Nová Cvernovka and at the concert for Matúš and Juraj at the opening of the bar Slovenská Tepláreň.

Waterbased combines the tenderness and intimacy of humanity with an inner explosion of feelings. The musical friction of dream/art pop, noise, trip hop genres creates generative original combinations of transformed bodies in a deliberate game. In 2020, the project was nominated in the Discovery of the Year category of the Radio_Head Awards. Czech magazine Fullmoon included the duo among the "11 hopes from Slovakia" (2021). They have already managed to present their music at festivals such as SHARPE (SK), Beseda u bigbítu (CZ) or Takt (SRB). After two years of work and concerts, Waterbased are releasing debut album Silent Regions on March 28. The album was produced by Jonatán Pastirčák (Isama Zing) and Ondrej Mikula (Aid Kid).
