Pohoda ambulances are already saving lives in Ukraine

Pohoda 2023 continued the amazing project of six photojournalists – a fundraiser for ambulances for Ukraine. The aim was to raise money for one ambulance during the festival, but in the end, our visitors came together and raised enough for almost three.

Two are already in Ukraine. One stayed in Kyiv and will be sent to the front later, after the necessary adjustments. The second is already in the hands of soldiers from the LSSG international unit, where Robo from Slovakia also serves. Together with the unit commander, a medic, and another colleague, he received the ambulance from the project's author Vlado Šimíček, his colleague Gabriel Kuchta and the head of Pohoda, Michal Kaščák, near Kramatorsk. The handover was full of emotion – after opening the trunk containing the basic ambulance equipment, the medic exclaimed, "Yes, baby!"
