Pohoda 2016: Feedback of foreign media and music professionals
“Pohoda can celebrate as the sparkling jewel in the festival crown of Central European festivals. It turned twenty with an outstanding progressive party. It was really great. A perfectly running, organised, and clean festival”, these are not quotes of loyal fans of Pohoda posted in webparty section, but the words of foreign journalists and influential people of the world music industry who honoured the twentieth edition of Pohoda with their presence there. After the wonderful reactions of visitors, partners, and artists, we were very pleased to hear their kind words.

Vic Galloway – BBC Scotlandʼs journalist for CLASH Magazine
Pohoda can celebrate as the sparkling jewel in the festival crown of Central European festivals. If you're looking for something unique and of real quality, I'd highly recommend it. Here are 10 of my highlights from this yearʼs festival... http://clashmusic.com/live/vic-galloways-pohoda-festival-highlights
John Wright – Virtual Festivals
“Pohoda was replete with a program of art, music and activities that placed it somewhere between Latitude and Glastonbury on the content spectrum, and with a joyous ease few European events can match”. The Virtual Festivals team enjoyed a little more the last yearʼs content, therefore they rated Pohoda 2016 9 out of 10. Tomasz Balawejder and Tomasz Bielenia – Polish radio station RMF FM with the most listeners and Interia.pl
Pohoda is as reliable as a Japanese car, as good as premium whisky, it smells of basil and tomatoes, and looks as a 20-year old girl. Our relationship with her is perfect, even though a little strange, as we are two guys, but come on, we are not jealous.

Ruud Berends – director of Eurosonic, the largest European showcase festival and conference
“It was really great. A perfectly running, organised, and clean festival. Great care was given to artists and guests, I watched exquisite concerts (especially My Baby, Bazzookas, and Sevdaliza)... And the crowd! Wow. Compliments to the whole Pohoda team”.
Maria Orlandi (Roisin Murphy Tour manager)
“Hotel, catering, stage, and every single person, it was all absolutely amazing, please give my thanks to the press team and especially to the great stage managers, which we think were the best we have ever had... and of course to the beautiful Natália, who was nice and kept smiling even when I repeatedly change plans.”
Derek Robertson – Drowned In Sound
“In addition to the top line-up and everything else, I do not think anybody has ever at any event taken such care of me before.”
Tiina Ia Tanskanen-Paavola – Kulturaktiv
“I must say that you are doing a great job with Pohoda. Your great line-up can compete with any other in Europe. However, festivals are more than just music, food and drinks are also part of the overall experience. My Slovak colleague translated for me what the word Pohoda means... now I had the opportunity to experience this meaning.”
Fruszina Szép – director of the Lollapalooza Berlin Festival
“Summer Festival diary 2016 :) Shared moments that will never be forgotten. This was Pohoda 2016. In this sweet-tiny town of Trenčín. Peace is the most famous and best Slovak festival. It celebrated its twentieth anniversary with a carefully sought out line-up, beautiful weather, lots of positive vibrations, and important social messages. The grounds and even the tent camp were very clean. Pohoda is one of the members of the Yourope festival family. It has extraordinary human organisers. Dear Michal Kaščák and his kind and passionate team were incredibly pleasant and always smiling. You have my big "congratulations", thank you for this unforgettable weekend and especially for being able to share it with many international friends from global music family...”
Julian Haas – www.delaymagazine.at
“Pohoda has gained the reputation of a cult festival. With its specific charm and peaceful atmosphere unusual for festivals of this size, it shows that a large summer festival does not necessarily have to be Sodom and Gomorrah”. You can read more here: www.delaymagazine.at/pohoda2016
