Our Stories at Pohoda 2019
Pohoda 2019 will also feature the instrumental post-rock trio Our Stories. Their dynamic guitar music is characterized by energetic drums and playful bass lines. In addition to last year's Pohoda, they also proved their qualities at this year's Eurosonic, as evidenced by great reviews from British media such as DIY, All Things Loud and portals from Holland (OOR) and Belgium (Focus Knack). They will come to Trenčín in a new line-up, with a new sound and, above all, with their debut album Pursuit of Happiness.

Our Stories offer a musically varied palette full of emotions and mood changes, often alternating gentle and calm passages with fast and aggressive ones. Since the release of the debut EP in 2015, the band has performed at a number of concerts and festivals. Last year, they presented themselves in our Garage and in January this year the band brilliantly represented the home scene at the biggest European showcase festival Eurosonic Noorderslag. The proof of these words are the fantastic reactions of the foreign media. According to DIY, Our Stories, "are blending intricate introspection with some rather large riffs." The Dutch OOR praised their "extremely inflammable sound sceneries suitable for the apocalypse" and, according to the British All Things Loud, they "offer a beautiful sonic combination which is worth every moment of your time" and described their musical style as "linking Explosions in the Sky at their most melodic and Deafheaven at their softest". The people from Focus Knack, Belgium, were probably the most excited ones about their performance and wrote: "From the first note, through dynamics and close interaction, you felt that you had the honour of being in the presence of strong musicians. Transparent, epic compositions, unexpected changes in tempo, contrast between lyrical passages and energetic explosions of noise... all of this sounded cool and convincing.” At the turn of March and April, they released their debut Pursuit of Happiness, and they’ll present it in a new line-up and with a new sound at Pohoda 2019 as well.
