Moldava: 6 years later (discussion, exhibition, and concert)
Six years ago, the operation of special forces in a Romani settlement near Moldava nad Bodvou resulted in 30 injured people. 60 policemen with dogs took part in the operation named “100”, yet the Interior Ministryʼs inspection assessed it to be appropriate. On the contrary, the attacked Romani, who witnessed the case, were charged with perjury. The legal inquiry is already in the hands of the judges of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Zuzana Wienk, activist Lydia Šuchová, and Roman Kvasnica, the legal representative of the attacked Romani, will talk about the genesis of the case in Optimistan. We will also commemorate this event with the exhibition of photographs by Tomáš Halász and the joint concert of bands Chalani z chatrče and Gipsy centrum, both from Moldava, in Café Kušnierik.
