Liptov: Oliver Torr at Pohoda on the Ground
In addition to Andrea Beton and Alexandra Cihanská Machová, the recording Liptov will also be presented by the Prague electronic producer, DJ, and audiovisual artist Oliver Torr. Oliver’ projects include TraumaTorr, GTA soundsystem, Black Tar Jesus, OGJ / Torr and he has collaborated with artists such as Chrysalism, Sunnbrella, Katarzia, Dukla and others. In late February, he released the album Fragility of Context and gained the attention of foreign media with the Trans Europe Postal Express project, in which artists recorded sounds on a travelling cassette tape following pre-given instructions.

In 2017, Oliver moved to Berlin to continue his studies in audiovisual arts. Instead, he found passion working in Berlin’s Patch Point synthesiser shop, where he learned to solder and make instruments by designers such as Serge Tcherepnin or Peter Blasser. His audiovisual installations have been seen in galleries in Prague, as well as in London and Berlin. He has also worked on various film and television projects. He studied in London at the British & Irish Modern Music Institute, where his mentor was producer Phelan Kane.
