IQ magazine: Do festivals lose their connection to the young?
Editor at IQ – magazine for music professionals – Gordon Mason, again displayed his good relations with Pohoda. One of the topics was losing the connection with young festival-goers. Among other things, Michal pointed out that with their pricing policy, western European events are focusing on “middle-aged, middle-class” attendees. CEO of Kilimanjaro Live added that when too old for family entertainment events, but still too young for increasingly expensive major festivals, teenage audiences are instead flocking to eSports events and live shows by YouTubers.
