Bilderbuch, One of Today’s Biggest Art-Pop Bands, Set to Perform at Pohoda 2025

Think rock is dead? Bilderbuch will prove you wrong. Few bands have reinvented rock music in the last decade and brought it back to the masses as radically as this Austrian group of musicians. They introduced the idea of a band as a gang of friends, blending extravagance, glamour, and an endless stream of inspiration. And the concept has been a huge success: Bilderbuch has become one of the world's leading German-singing art-pop bands.

Formed in 2005 as a modest school band, they eventually settled on their current line-up of vocalist and guitarist Maurice Ernst, guitarist Michael Krammer, bassist Peter Horazdovsky and drummer Philipp Scheibl. Their distinctive sound, which has gradually become a fusion of rock, indie rock, psychedelic soul, art pop, R&B and hip-hop, has earned them a huge following. Among their fans is none other than Mick Jagger, who personally invited Bilderbuch to join the Rolling Stones on tour. With over a quarter of a billion streams to their name, no other band in the German-speaking world has come close to matching their success.
