When the Guardian likened him to artists like Ed Harcourt, Rufus Wainwright or Frank Zappa, and Pitchfork did the same to Joanne Newsom, Kiran Leonard was only 17. Laura Snapes of Pitchfork called his song “Dear Lincoln” the undoubtedly most refreshing song she had heard in the whole year (Kiran wrote it when he was 14). Today he is 20, has recorded many other great songs, and will soon release his second album. He will come to show his great talent to the visitors of Pohoda. → read more

Ernest Ranglin & friends

Jamaican guitarist Ernest Ranglin was able to direct people's attention to jazz, reggae, and ska during the peak of “Beatlesmania”. He participated in songs such as “My Boy Lillipop” and the music for the James Bond film (Dr. No) and collaborated with artists such as Bob Marley and Jimmy Cliff. The godfather of Jamaican music and rocksteady, reggae, and ska style, he will come to Pohoda with his All Star Band composed of Cheikh Lô (vocals), Tony Allen (drums), Courtney Pine (saxophone), Alex Wilson (piano), and Ira Coleman (contrabass). → read more

Hollie Cook

Hollie Cook

Her father is the drummer of the Sex Pistols, her mother was a vocalist of the Culture Club, and the lead singer of this band, Boy George, is her godfather. Hollie Cook developed her inherited talent in the punk band The Slits and has collaborated with artists such as Ian Brown, Jamie T, and Prince Fatty. It was with the latter one that she recorded her debut album "Hollie Cook" in 2011, and BBC called it one of the most enjoyable reggae albums of the year 2011. We will have her pleasant music at the 20th edition of Pohoda. → read more

Flying Lotus

BBC DJ Mary Anne Hobbs crowned him the “electronic Jimi Hendrix.” His latest album features guest appearances by Herbie Hancock, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Kimbra and Thundercat. In the past, he also collaborated with the likes of Erykah Badu and Thom Yorke. He's got an MTV Video Music Award and 2 Grammy nominations under his belt. The pioneer of electronic music and its live visualization, Steven Ellison a.k.a. Flying Lotus, is coming to Pohoda 2016. → read more

Anna Meredith

Anna Meredith

Performed in the BBC Last Night of the Proms, her music was broadcast to 40 million people. She's a former composer-in-residence with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and her music featured in the last year's PRADA Spring/Summer fashion campaign. Her projects include Concerto for Beatboxer and Orchestra as well as a piece for five symphony orchestras in different corners of the country, connected by satellite. After the first two critically acclaimed EPs, the Scottish innovator and composer, Anna Meredith, is about to release a keenly awaited debut Varmints and then will hit the road. Her tour will also include Pohoda where she'll perform her impressive music with attention to detail to our audience. → read more
