LA Priest is the impressive solo project of Sam Eastgate, once the frontman of the acclaimed band Late of the Pier. Following their great album "Fantasy Black Channel", Sam decided to go solo.
His initial two albums, "Inji" (2015) and "Gene" (2020), are filled with catchy and playful indie pop hits, featuring funky passages and synth fills. On his latest album, "Fase Luna," he has dialed back the synths and put the spotlight on the guitar, with which he works wonders. Sam's inspiration for the album came from the ocean, which you can hear beautifully in each track - sometimes you feel like you're lying on the beach, other times you feel like you're underwater, enjoying the beauty of the sea.
LA Priest is an excellent songwriter and musician with a distinctive voice and innate ability to create hits.
