At the Second Sun Salutations, DJ Ramzy Al Spinoza & MC Safaa Hathot Will Perform. This unique Jewish-Arab duo will also play another set on Friday night, and those who saw them at Pohoda on the Ground know it will be a great experience.
Ramzy Al Spinoza is the founder of Shabab music label and creator of the Monolingual event series – tolerant parties where Jews, Arabs, Muslims, and Christians dance together in harmony. Ramzy is the voice of people who do not seek conflict and use music to understand each other regardless of race, nationality, or religious beliefs.Joining him will be MC Safaa Hathot, a member of the Shabab label and one of the first female rappers in her community. Since 2001, Safaa has participated in workshops, festivals, and concerts around the world.
The event will feature the best of Arabic music, contemporary world music, exotic bass lines, and selections from the Mediterranean underground scene.
