Buchajtramka SK

Buchajtramka has been gradually active for 12 years. They have not yet settled on an exact type of music, but they are closest to the label of a folk-ethno-world-music band. Their fluctuating number of members is around 12-13, predominantly from the Horehronie region. The group consists of eight men playing various instruments (violin, guitar, double bass, accordion, clarinet, baritone, and percussion instruments such as djembe and cajón) and 5-6 women harmonising their voices into an explosive or melancholic choir, depending on what the arrangement requires.

All the women dress in traditional Slovak folk costumes, both as a tribute to tradition and also simply because they are beautiful. Folk songs and motifs combined with elements of world music, reggae, and drum & bass make up the cocktail they will mix for you at Pohoda.
Buchajtramka members are: Terka Falťanová (vocals, jaw harp), Barborka Tajbošová (vocals), Sabínka Tesáková (vocals), Danielka Haászová (vocals), Radka Polkorábová (vocals), Katarína Krnáčová (vocals), Paľo Mackov (double bass, fujara, bass guitar), Jerguš Tesák (vocals, babble, violin), Martin Dráb (double bass, guitar, percussion), Ďuri Kriváň (djembe, cajón, hang drum), Maťko Haász (saxophone, clarinet), Paľko Adamek (accordion), Sandra Urbančíková (percussion), and Aurel Adamek (baritone).
