Arlo Parks may only be a few years into her twenties, but her incredible talent can't be quantified. She made a splash in the music scene in 2021 with her debut album, "Collapsed in Sunbeams," earning her the BRIT Award for Newcomer of the Year, the Mercury Prize, and a Grammy nomination, among others.
Arlo makes beautiful songs that blend indie pop with soul, R&B and folk. Her lyrics tackle the issues facing young people in today's world, leading many to call her the most poetic singer of our time.
In May, she released her second album, My Soft Machine, which featured collaborations with world-class producers and a guest appearance by Phoebe Bridges. You can also hear Arlo in the song "Tangerine" by Glass Animals.
Arlo Parks is one of the musical gems of contemporary indie pop, so we highly recommend her concert at Pohoda 2024.
"I happened to catch Arlo in September at a sold-out concert at the iconic Ancienne Belgique in Brussels. While I only knew a few of her songs, I was pleasantly surprised by how she captivated such a large audience with her soothing and mellow music. Since then, I've been regularly playing her music at home – it has a calming effect on me and lifts my spirits. Bonus points to her for having an all-female technical crew at the concert :)," adds Paula Poštolková, Pohoda's producer, about Arlo Parks.
