Nový album Slowdive a debut Ho99o9

Fanúšikovia Slowdive si museli na nový album počkať 20 rokov. Podľa ospevujúcich recenzií novinárov z The Skinny, Clash, Consequence of Sound a mnohých ďalších médií sa počkať rozhodne oplatilo. Nemenej úspešne si počínali Ho99o9 s debutom United States of Horror.

Slowdive: Slowdive

Mojo “Slowdive is a surprisingly joyous return to the fray.”

Consequence of sound “Nearly everything fans of the pioneering shoegaze band could want in a comeback record”

Clash Music “The group feel more at home with the methodology of early prog or post-punk, with a sense of the abstract rippling beneath those crystalline waves of perfect sound. Shine on, you diamonds.”

Ho99o9: United States of Horror

DIY “An artist may get lost in their art, but debut album ‘United States of Horror’ seems to have actually possessed Ho99o9. An abrasive duo, challenging and difficult, Ho99o9 have the point of no return firmly in the rear view mirror as they manically slash through every decibel-blasting genre of the last three decades.”

Treblezine “It’s a short but complex album, with moments of quirky hip-hop machismo a la Migos or Meek Mill as well as industrial-tinged chanting from the Death Grips school.”

Teamrock “Could Ho99o9 be our next vital, zeitgeisty crossover band? United States Of Horror is a compelling enough start.”

The Line Of Best Fit “Ho99o9 deliver a blistering manifesto for a disenfranchised America”

C Duncan’s  ‘Remixes’ EP out today

A digital only Remix EP, featuring tracks taken from C Duncan’s album 'The Midnight Sun', reinterpreted by Dutch Uncles, KDA and BABE. Manchester quintet Dutch Uncles take the dream-pop sensibilities of 'Like You Do' and morph it into a relentlessly synth-heavy track that gives the song a new form of energy. Four-piece electronic pop outfit Babe give 'Like You Do' a disco makeover with C Duncan’s vocals sitting on top of analog basslines and a rising synth melody that that gives the track an almost tropical tinge. London-based house music producer and DJ KDA contributes two edits of 'Do I Hear' to the EP. The first would sit nicely next to Kid A-era Radiohead, with C Duncan’s original piano over KDA's skittering drums and modest bassline that builds to a euphoric ending. The second of the edits is an 8 minute meditative journey through KDA's incredible attention to percussion that serves as a great counter-part to his other edit.
