Walter Schnitzelsson

In late 2013, they released a great debut Fever, which made them the Newcomer of the Year 2013 (at Radio_Head Awards). In January this year, they represented Slovakia at Eurosonic, the biggest showcase festival, and are currently working on a new album. The excellent Slovak rockʼnʼroll band Walter Schnitzelsson will perform on the main stage of Pohoda 2016.

The band was formed in 2010, and the formation consisting of Jozef Rezník (guitar, vocals), Jakub Joštiak (bass), and Miroslav Michale (drums) has been playing together since the autumn of 2011. Their music is a mixture of rock and roll, blues, and punk. Their songs have expressive guitar riffs, catchy melodies, and energetic rhythms. Martina Šimoňáková of hudba.zoznam.sk wrote about their debut back in November 2013: “Fever is quite an exceptional recording given the situation on the Slovak scene. Energetic rockʼnʼroll, songs about courage, love, and good parties: you can find there all of this plus a piece of dance fever”. According to Miroslav Ondřejíček, you can feel a pure joy of playing in their music and their debut is excellent. Their instrumental sophistication is neither the only nor the biggest asset of their concerts. Most of all, they put a great deal of energy and fun in their music, and they are going to bring that also to the Trenčín Airport.
