Tricot, Lola Marsh, and Seward again at Bažant Pohoda

Tricot, Lola Marsh, and Seward again at Bažant Pohoda

Tricot, Lola Marsh, and Seward – the three bands were said to be the most interesting discoveries of our last festival year. If you missed them, you can make up for this shortcoming this year. Those who saw them can confirm that these are some of the bands you just cannot get bored of watching...

27. March 2015

Tricot is a math-rock tornado from Japan, three girls and the drummer, wildness, musical virtuosity, and unbridled energy. In 2014, they gave two concerts with us; at both of them, the atmosphere between the stage and the audience was literally sparkling, and many began to demand more performances straight away. Since then, the group has worked on a new album which will be released before the summer. We are so looking forward to it!

If Quentin Tarantino asks you about a good band for his next film, do recommend Lola Marsh from Israel. Led by the charming Yael, Lola Marsh is a magical group and the perfect soundtrack to a strong fateful story in Tarantino style. Original arrangements full of harmony and unprecedented easiness... will get you whether you like heavy metal or folk, they will touch your most sensitive points, and you will be surprised with what a pleasant visitor it is. After their great show at the festival, we invited them to the autumn part of our project “Pohoda in clubs”, where the legendary sound engineer Laco Demčák said: “one day we will be proud to have carried this band’s cases”. We will love to carry them again this summer, and this time, Lola Marsh will bring in them also their debut album.

If you like musical extravagancies, you must not miss Seward. “They are as if Captain Beefheart met Tom Waits and American Music Club”, wrote the magazine Rockfeedback. Seward is a visionary musical project from Barcelona created from traditional folk instruments, electric guitars, samples, effects, and unexpected rhythms full of humour, chaos and intensity. A special musical theatre experience you will not forget, a band for musical adventurers, they got us. We could not resist and invited them again after one year. Come and see why.
