Rafo & Pure

Michal Rafaj aka Rafa and Peter Repík aka Pure, operating under the brand Popular® Night, have brought several important names of dance music to Slovakia. In their DJ set at Pohoda, these Nu Spirit based DJs will perform their definition of club sound.

Peter Repík aka DJ Pure was one of the pioneers of Detroit and minimal techno in Slovakia. Since 2000, he has played at hundreds of events in Central Europe and the UK. Pure sound is influenced by the sound of Detroit, Chicago, New York, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Philadelphia. He likes to mix music of various genres – hip-hop, soul, jazz, disco, broken beat, house, and techno.
Michal Rafaj aka DJ Rafo has been active since 2003, when his passion for music and graphic design grew into starting the brand Popular®. Michal is one of eclectic DJs; in his sets, you can hear links to the sound of Chicago and Detroit – it is a mix of disco, house music, rare grooves, techno, and brokenbeat.
Around 2006, Rafo and Pure met in the Bratislavaʼs legendary Nu Spirit bar. Hosts of their own events, they enjoyed the music each other was playing in the Nu Spirit bar at the time. In their joint DJ set at Pohoda, they will show their definition of club sound and experience gained on various stages at home and abroad.
