Post-punk DEADLETTER will have you dancing at Pohoda 2025

This post-punk six-piece from Britain is coming to Pohoda 2025, ready to get you moving with their electrifying live performance. Several of us on the Pohoda team have had the pleasure of seeing this young band perform live, and we can’t wait for you to experience them at Trenčín Airport. If you’re into the wild energy of Viagra Boys or the dance-punk grooves of LCD Soundsystem, DEADLETTER’s music will instantly get under your skin.

Childhood friends Zac Lawrence (vocals), Alfie Husband (drums), and George Ullyott (bass) began their journey busking on the streets of Yorkshire. In order to take their music to the next level and reach a wider audience, they eventually relocated to South London, the mecca of the local music scene. There, they expanded the band to include two guitars and a saxophone, transforming DEADLETTER from an unknown act into one of the biggest musical discoveries in the British Isles.

DEADLETTER's live performances are masterclasses in shifting intensity. They move effortlessly from conversational, spoken-word verses to raw, post-punk fury. It's no wonder they've toured with the likes of Squid, Viagra Boys, Placebo, Yard Act and Pip Blom. Their mix of post-punk guitars and saxophone is a sure-fire recipe for getting everyone moving—and we can personally attest to that.

“DEADLETTER embodies my ideal vision of a contemporary band. Their debut LP is amazing, their concerts are a celebration of creativity, joy of music, and wild energy. I’m glad that alongside legends like Iggy Pop and Queens of The Stone Age, people will also get to see what a fantastic response to high-quality rock and roll looks like from a band full of amazing young people," said Michal Kaščák, who highly recommends experiencing their concert at Pohoda.

The word “dead letter” refers to a letter without an address, but we’re confident their music will find its way to you—not just at Pohoda in July but also into your playlists after you’ve seen their unforgettable live performance.
