Heymoonshaker – world-class Beatbox Blues from the streets of New Zealand
Heymoonshaker merged blues and beatbox that are seven decades apart. Angry bluesman Andrew Balcon and fizzling beatboxer Dave Crowe kept on improving their art mainly in front of the most straightforward club in the world – the street. And it was the street (at the opposite end of the world) where these musicians met. From South Island they went to Sweden and after that they headed to the streets in France. Here they built a reputation of a band that doesn’t need to take their hat off to earn good money. The French edition of Rolling Stone described them as follows: “A well balanced mix of smiles, verbal sparring and an impressive performance convey deep emotions. Dazzling!” And then it all gained momentum. Supporting act for Walk Off The Earth, festivals Printemps de Bourges, Sziget, Glastonbury, first EP Shakerism, album Noir, US tour, a video with more than 25 million views… In 2015, they are about to conquer the musical Europe. But as Dave Crowe once said, “I’m a street musician by trade and will forever be on the streets whatever fortunes I may find.” Refresher ranked the concert of Heymoonshaker among the top 10 concerts of Pohoda 2015: “It was an energetic whirlwind that the audience will remember for a pretty long time. Dave Crowe is one of the best beatboxers ever; combined with blues guitar and raspy voice of the other band member, his work opens to a whole new dimension”.

Gonsofus
The young Russian artist Sasha Mamaev is the leader of the project Gonsofus. He has been performing under this name with various musicians or giving one-man-shows since his student days in Boston, and that is why many fans do not recognize him under his own name, but they do when they hear the name of the project. In this band, there is no danger of a singer, guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, or saxophone player leaving, as all of these positions are covered by Sasha himself, using a variety of effects and loop boxes. Drums and percussion are played by Gábor Tokar from Hungary. Gonsofus produce multilingual and dance mix of reggae, dub, hip hop, funk, folk, and Afrobeat. Apparently, there are no language, genre or state borders for these young men. Their production so far includes 3 independent albums and 5 successful tours across Europe. Slovak fans can also enjoy the fact that Gonsofus currently operate in Bratislava. By the way, they recently recorded a nice video in the streets of our capital which shows that art is not for the elected.
