Pohoda for families: music
Hipsters have kids, so do punk fans, and even techno lovers. They can take them to Pohoda with them—kids can get to know Alt-J, Sleaford Mods, or Schwefelgelb, which will certainly affect their musical taste in a positive way. Parents can gain power for these concerts during the performances of Kašpárek v rohlíku or Šafolka. It works, as proven last year by the record 1802 children. We have again prepared great concerts, theatre performances, and workshops in Family Park; we will be gradually informing about them today. We are getting started with music.

Tadpole plumbers — public release of the book by Braňo Jobus + concert
In the unusual environment of the workshop, the tadpoles are hatched. Everywhere there are only machines and tools, so it is no wonder that their plumber career begins with funny stories and fairy magic. The very fact that they know how to get anywhere through pipes, pipes and canals is magical! The introduction of the book will be accompanied by the music of Vrbovskí víťazi, exactly the way you would expect them to play: using waste pipes and other original musical instruments.
Kašpárek v rohlíku
Kašpárek v rohlíku is a 12-member baby-punk band that brings intergenerational entertainment for both children and adults. They have released 4 albums, sold out the Lucerna concert club several times, and collaborated with artists such as Tonya Graves, Lenka Dusilová, Monika Načeva, and David Koller. Their hits such as Čůrej, Želvy, Strejda Jara, and many others have been a great entertainment for already 10 years.
Lupták, Lenko, Bugala, Comendant, Dugovič: Lullabies
The great musicians and fathers Jozef Lupták, Boris Lenko, Štefan Bugal, Marcel Comendant, and Branislav Dugovič have created beautiful lullabies for their and other children as well. Each of the musicians chose songs that appeal to them and to which they have a personal relationship. Each of them also arranged the songs. So were created songs that do not underestimate the child as a listener. On the contrary, they value children as a valuable treasure that can develop with every song heard and every note played by the fathers.
Šafolka + Oriešok
The Smižany Primary Art School will come to Pohoda with folk ensemble Oriešok and choir Šafolka. Oriešok preserves and presents children's, musical, and dance folklore of Smižany and surrounding Spiš municipalities. Its members are double laureates of the children's folk music folklore tour of the Košice region. The children's choir Šafolka has several finalists of singing contest Slávik Slovenska. At the beginning of the year, they entered the final of the RTVSʼs TV contest Zem Spieva.
Kornička
Some more finalists of the Zem Spieva contest will play in the Family Park, Children's folk ensemble Kornička from Trenčín. They have been regularly playing at Pohoda since 2008. Kornička works with folk traditions of its region, revives forgotten melodies and dances from neighbouring villages and remote gables as well. During its short existence, the ensemble has won seven times in national competitions. They have given over 500 performances, many of them abroad: in Spain, France, Switzerland, and other European countries. Kornička will offer the most interesting parts of its repertoire also at upcoming Pohoda.
The Orchestra of the Trenčín Primary Art School and the Piarissimo choir
Another local representative will be the Chamber Orchestra of the Trenčín Primary Art School with over 50-year history. It is currently led by conductor Alena Piatková. The Orchestra has been for many years cooperating with Piarissimo, the School Choir of the Piarist Grammar School of Jozef Branecký in Trenčín, which will perform at the festival in a chamber ensemble. Together, they will present compositions of different genres from their current and core repertoire.
Solamente Naturali - Collection of Lubeník
The concert of Solamente Naturali called “Collection of Lubeník” is also a puppet show. The musical performance of secular compositions from the collection will be accompanied by the puppet show of the traditional puppet theatre Teatro Posonii. The spectators will see Faust and Mefisto, the devil and the angel, as well as trick baroque puppets: a juggler with spheres and a juggler on a one-wheeled bike, Metamorphosis puppet, Dupák, and a unique dance of four puppets at one time. The show was created in cooperation of Solamente Naturali conducted by the artistic director, violinist and violist Miloš Valent, with the traditional puppet theatre Teatro Posonii of Ivan Gontko and Juraj Hamar, latter of which also directed the stage work.
Funny Fellows – Vintage circus
The bringing together of today's renowned bands, Cirkus-kus and Funny Fellows, led to the creation of a fun and cheerful circus show in the style of the old monarchy. The year 1910 was tremendously fruitful for this kind of fun activities. Not only children but mainly adults were learning to walk on ropes: acrobatic numbers with no safety net, clowns, and jugglers in historical costumes will amaze the audience in the rhythm of the funny music of Funny Fellows. You can look forward to trapeze and horizontal bar, juggling circles and magic sphere, perfect music, and cheerful clowns.
