05. May 2017
Pohoda 2017 will have prominent female artists, and such will be also Pohoda Day_FM. In addition to home rising stars such as Katarína Máliková, Dillon will perform in studio no. 1 of the Slovak Radio. The young German singer of Brazilian origin is characterized by deeply tuned melodic compositions, sophisticated electronics, piano, and specific voice and vocal work. The BBC likens her to Lykke Li and Fever Ray, Berliner Zeitung to compared her to Björk. After two successful albums and a wonderful last year's recording from the concert at the Haus der Berliner, she is preparing her third studio album and another tour, which will also feature her appearance at Pohoda.
In the studio no. 1, we will hear also a magical combination of folklore music, electronics, and classics delivered by Katarína Máliková. As Oliver Rehák of Denník N put it, her album Pustvopol is one of the most striking debuts on our scene in recent years. His words have been confirmed at this year's Radio_Head Awards. Katarina was awarded in the Debut of the Year, Album of the Year/Critic's Award, and World Music/Folk categories. The album has already crossed the border of Slovakia, when it ranked on the 8th place in the April issue of World Music Charts Europe. Trio of interesting female singers will be completed by Ela Tolstová with her Tolstoys.
Studio no.5 will be full of programme all day. Apart from live broadcast and a public press conference, there will also be multiple concerts. The evening will be in a manner of creative electronic music. Electro Guzzi play techno in a punk formation: drums, bass, and guitar. Elektro Guzzi are fascinating with their dynamic live show, where they do not use computers or loops. Barcode DJs will show how great a music tool a barcode reader can be. It's not just interesting experimental music, but also a great performance.
Pohoda Day_FM will also have one of the most outstanding export names of the Slovak music, B-Complex. Matia's Drum & Bass combines elements of fluid, as well as harder drums and basses. She owes her successful start to the song Beautiful Lies, which was released by Hospital Records. It instantaneously became a hit that is still considered to be the genre classic. The most prestigious D & B YouTube Channel, UKF Drum & Bass, has her listed on the first page in the number of views, residing there along with Skrillex and Netsky. Fans of the Drum & Bass genre can also look forward to the artist native of Piešťany performing as Changing Faces, whom the British UKF portal praised in an article titled “Who the hell is Changing Faces”. Smart pop of Nvmeri will be “balanced” with the primitive rock delivered by Saténové ruky, the Day will start by "smart" for us, but "primitive" for some - Panáčik, an audiovisual project. Muzička will bring authentic folklore, Fero and Barbora Morong will present two dance workshops with them.
Also this year we will have Pohoda Shop. The fastest of you will get a special deal in the Pohoda Shop—from 8:00 in the morning, we will be selling 79 tickets at a reduced price of €79. After they are sold out, we will add a gift from our shop to €89 tickets.
