Para at Pohoda 2017
The 21st Pohoda will have one of our most favourite concert bands, Para. Last autumn, they went on another great tour and released a double-single with songs “Linda” and “Žiadne slová, iba činy”. They are currently working on their seventh album. You can make the time waiting for it shorter at Pohoda.

Para formed in 1995. Their album "Veci začali fungovať" came out in 2000. In 2001, they released album "1234" featuring hit Otec. 2004 saw the release of Para's most successful album "Brutálna zostava." Albums "Para" (2007), "Povstanie" (2010) and "Menšina" (2012) followed. Para is known for being an amazing live act. Their unrestrained live performances turned tracks such as Ticho, Otec, Prví poslední, Prezident or Keď ťa stretnem into popular songs.
In an interview in Ráno na eFeMku radio programme, the bandʼs bass player Matúš Vallo said that the main themes of their songs are love, friendship, and politics. You can find the proof of this is also in their latest songs. Their more engaged approach was present also at the Christmas concert on the occasion of the 12th birthday of Rádio_FM, when they invited Lýdia Piovarcsyová on the stage (in January 1945, as an 11-year-old, she ended up in a wagon heading to a concentration camp but managed to escape to Prague with the help of a doctor). In April, the band released the clip for their latest song “Žiadne slová, iba činy”. Lasky, the singer of the band, described it for NOIZZ portal: “Itʼs a rousing piece. We did not react to anything specific, but we would like people to come back to senses a bit. We say to ourselves not to be negativistic. Itʼs easy—people, wake up”.
