Panáčik

With his decadent touch, strong vocals, 80's electronic arrangements, and unconventional videos, Panáčik is getting more and more fans. Even more unusual are his performances, one of which you will see at Pohoda 2017.

The Panáčik project is the work of Tomáš Moravanský. In his work, he combines performance, music, film, video art, and theatre. As a photographer, video creator, and graphic designer, he also collaborated with bands such as 100 Múch, Depresy, Longital, CHVM, and others. At Pohoda 2012, he had a public release of album Záhrada, which received a great rating also from Virtualfestivals, and Czech portal Musicserver ranked him among the 20 best foreign productions. Since the end of 2014, he has been working on his conceptual album O. There are some indications of how it will sound and look in new songs Román, Po chodníku skáče, and Vrkoče.

The artist said about the latter one: “The lyrics of the song reflects the platonic concept of physicality in contrast with the movement abruptness of the visual presentation in the spirit of romantic conceptualism. The fictitious world clashes with the real one, and the references of song Vrkoče blend across the whole album, as well as its contexts are paraphrase again in other contexts and images”.

Panáčik and theatre and dance association ZDRUHESTRANY will perform also at Pohoda 2017.
