Become an apprentice at ALCHEMIST’S, ORACLE’S and DWARVES’ workshops. This is what DAPHNE – Živá učebnica_Banská Štiavnica (Live Textbook) – a book for kids aged 4-11 – has to offer. Your offsprings will learn new things at Bažant Pohoda by means of experiments, zeal, experiences and creativity. Workshops are based on short story fairytales from Juraj Červenák’s book Legendy Zlatého mesta (The Legends of Golden City).
AT ALCHEMYST’S
Through playful approach suitable for their age and with help of simple demonstrative experiments, kids will learn more about curiosities in the fields of physics, chemistry and biology. Little alchemists will have a chance to cast metal or discover shape-forming powers of water. They will learn the secrets of fire, water, earth, metal and wood.
AT ORACLE’S
At Oracle’s workshop, kids will learn how to make their own lip balm or healing ointment. Teachers will take them for a morning sciences expedition around the festival site.
AT DWARVES’

This workshop focuses on kids’ linguistic skills and, therefore, is led by UK and Czech teachers. Kids are in for activities such as finding correlations between Earth layers and tectonic plates motion, simulating volcano eruption and rescuing a village from flowing lava to name a few.
