Laug-Techno-Bau Klub: Saturday

Laug-Techno-Bau Klub: Saturday

There is electronic music for dancing masses and then there is electronic music for fans of boxes. For the third consecutive year, we have a selection of top acts from the area picked by Adam Dekan and Matwe ready for those from the second group. If the airport had a dark, industrial underground, that would be a place where this music would be played. Since there is no such thing at the venue, you are invited to listen to the unique alternative electronic music at Laug-Techno-Bau Klube. Saturday lineup: Grafofon, Jack Jack, Barcode DJs, Subact, Schwefelgelb, FlexFab, Peal a Asebest.

27. May 2017

Schwefelgelb
An own stroboscopic show and dance techno originating in the 80's melted into the current raw sound, these are the German Schwefelgelb. Bass synthesizers cut to the bare elements of electronic music, unusual percussions, abstract samples, and German lyrics. All this is a guarantee of genuine, authentic sound.

Subact
A fresh news Subact is a duo from Dresden that combines striking electronic lines from boxes and drums in a classic set up. It all blends into a full-bodies electronic vortex with a bit of krautrock, acid, and punk electronics.

FlexFab
Pohoda 2017 will see one of the biggest talents on Swiss electronic music scene, FlexFab. After playing festivals such as Paléo, Montreux Jazz Festival, Zurich Open Air or Eurosonic, he’s coming to introduce us to the combination of twisted rhythms, odd-tronica, trap, trip-hop, devastating bass music and beats at our festival as well.

Barcode DJs
Armed with barcode readers, computers, and Pure Data modules, they change the stereotype of the hardware that is primarily designed for supermarkets. They change it into an impulsive experimental work that is funny in its inventiveness. If you have exotic bar codes, bring them with you and you will be surprised with how something so everyday like a barcode can sound.

Grafofón
The Saturday portion of the Laug-Techno-Bau Club will be opened by the graphophone of Zuzana Sabová and Boris Vitázka. The instrument originated as a tool for putting musical scores of Milan Adamčiak into music. It is 6 meters of iron driven by engine equipped with computer vision. A sound performance that engages listeners.

Jack Jack
Jack Jack is a Czechoslovak duo that does not need anything else but mix-sets and cables to perform. In their “no-input” music, they discover the decadent beauty of the digital echo. Noises, bangs, and cracks change to the sound of radical minimalism.

Asebest
At home clubs, Asebest started playing around 2008. After the abstract genres, he settled comfortably in the field of acid, electric, and industrial techno. His current selection may include elements of places like Haag, Chicago, Manchester, or Vancouver. You may recognize his music from commercials or events like Centrifuga, Listening Lectures, Hangover, and others.

Peal
Mišo has been on stage for 14 years. He first played minimal house, later it was techno, and now he plays everything he cares about and enjoys. Depending on the situation, he mixes hauz, bass, electronics, and mainly techno that are currently spiced with ebm and post punk. He played with names such as Surgeon, Regis, Function, Ancient Methods, Takaaki Itoh, Indigo, Scuba, Ben Frost, GusGus, Standa, and many others. He is a resident of the Subclub, but you could see him in many clubs in Slovakia and abroad, or at festivals such as Pohoda, Wilsonic, Aquabeatz, and Hradhouse.
